    Aim

    The FAW/UEFA C Licence intensive has been designed to support coaches transitioning from their Level 1 award by enhancing our FAW coaching tools and adding the tactical pillar & psychological pillar to align with the technical, physical and social pillars developed through the FAW/UEFA Grassroots Leaders Award, which will be explored during the first part of the intensive programme.

    About

    The FAW/UEFA C Licence will provide you with the opportunity to further explore our Welsh way principles of play and how they can be embedded into your coaching practices through the use of general practices and small sided games. The course will also explore the 5 x pillars of our game whilst creating a greater understanding of how we can deliver various key coaching points to individuals and groups following the completion of the FAW/UEFA Grassroots Leaders Award via the online webinar and the first practical date. We will also introduce you to the key moments of the game (Attacking, Defending and Transitional moments) to increase your understanding of our game principles and provide you with practical examples.

    Outcome

    You will be required to complete 1 x online webinar, 4 x practical days & 10 x eLearning tasks.

    5 x FAW/UEFA Grassroots Leaders Award eLearning tasks must be completed by 5pm on the first day of your residential block.

    Post contact work is required in addition to an on course FAW/UEFA coaching assessment to achieve the FAW/UEFA C Licence.

    Completion of the course will provide you with a pre-requisite to access the FAW/UEFA B Licence.

    To apply for the FAW UEFA C Licence Intensive, applicants must meet the criteria detailed below.

    • FAW Football Leaders Award / FAW Introduction to Coaching Football or Level 1 Equivalent
    • FAW First Aid Award or FAW Football Emergency Aid or Equivalent
    • FAW Safeguarding Award or Equivalent
    • Be able to communicate through the medium of the English language to complete the practical assessment.

    • Resident in Wales
    • Born in Wales
    • Capped for Wales at Youth or Senior Level

    Course Information:

    Full board accommodation will be provided at Holiday Inn, Cardiff

    • Check In : Thursday 18th March 2027
    • Check Out : Sunday 21st March 2027

    Lunch will be provided at the training venue/hotel

    Candidates will need to bring suitable clothing and football boots for the training sessions.
